After placing tape underneath my eyes to prevent fallout, I prime my eyes with Nars’ Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base to ensure that the eyeshadow will last.  Having oily eyelids, it’s always a gamble figuring out what products will make the eyeshadow last.  I know, I know, "oily eyelids" sounds rather amusing and simultaneously gross but it's something we deal with. With a fluffy mid-sized crease brush (I used the Metal collection from Real Techniques 203 brush), begin by packing on “swoon” from Kat Von D’s colorful Mi Vida Loca eyeshadow palette on the outer corner of my eye.  If you do not have this palette, do not fret, there are similar colors from NYX, Make-up Forever, Wet & Wild, and beyond.

Once you have packed on the eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eye,  take the same brush and pack on swoon on the inner corner to create a halo eye.  Once I have packed on the color to both the outer and inner corners I blend it into the crease, connecting the lines. Then, with a smaller crease brush  put love letter from ABH’s Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette into the outer v and I blend it into the crease to add dimension to the eye. In the center of the eye, add Tempera from MR into the center of the eye as base and then packed on Love from MVL.

To finish the eye look, I popped on Eyelure's Grand Glamour falsies from their Vegas Nay collaboration and  created a thin wing Stila's Stay All Day liquid eyeliner in intense black to disguise the eyelash glue.

Next, I used Too Face's Hangover replenishing primer to moisturize and hydrate my face. I give it about 30 seconds to absorb into the skin and become tacky which allows the foundations to stick better to the skin.  Next, I grabbed the Nars' soft matte complete concealer in Cannelle (light 2.7) to brighten my under-eye dark circles. Before setting my concealer, I moved onto contouring. For this, I use two darkest shades from Kat Von D;'s Shade and Light palette. I start out with the medium shade to warm up the face and then go into with the darkest shade to create the illusion of a defined face. Essentially, I place  contour powder slightly above where I should hypothetically have cheekbones, under my jaw and near hairline.  I then go in with Laura Mercier's transluscent powder with a beauty blender (any beauty sponge will work for this) to clean up the contour, smile lines and to set the concealer underneath my eyes. Before dusting off the powder off my face with a fluffy powder brush, I add blush and highlight. Naturally, to compliment the bright pink eyeshadow, I went with Too Face's bright pink blush in Love Flush. And to glow to the gods, I added some of Becca's highlighters in Pearl and Champagne Pop. To seal all this goodness in and reduce the cake-y effect, I spritzed my face with Milani's Make it Dewey setting spray.
Contrary to belief, this look was super easy to create. I genuinely think all skill levels can re-create this look, so don’t feel discouraged if you don’t have all these tools or feel experienced enough- it all starts somewhere!
